Lake Seminole Fishing Report – January 2024

GON Staff | December 28, 2023

Seminole: Level: 1.0 feet below 77.5. Temp: 56 degrees. Clarity: Stained in the rivers and clear in Spring Creek.

Bass: Tournament angler Matt Baty reports, “Bass fishing is great. The bass are already starting their prespawn migration patterns. They can be found on grass edges, in ditches and pond bottoms feeding on shad and small bream. Once you find bait activity, you can catch lots of numbers and quality on a 1/2-oz. Berkley Slobberknocker in fire craw with a Berkley PowerStinger trailer in ghost red craw. They’ll also bite a 1/2-oz. Berkley Swim Jig in fire craw with a 4.25-inch Berkley paddling swimbait in ghost red craw, as well. I throw both of these baits on 20-lb. Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon with an Abu Garcia Zenon 8.3:1 baitcast reel on a Veritas 7-3 medium-heavy rod.”
