We got in the blind about 4:09 pm and had just settled in when the buck showed up about 10 minutes later in the field about 70 yards out. He was cornering away but I waited for a broadside shot. He put his head up and looked right at the blind. I made the shot then. He went about 50 yards across the fence. We got permission from the adjacent landowner and proceeded to track him and found him about 20 yards on the next property. It was a heart shot. My first mature buck. I was so excited.
