Hunt Story
On November 4th during the evening hunt, I was sitting in the stand with my Dad. This buck was walking with another buck in the woods coming up to the food plot. At the end of the plot there was a doe that they were both after. I already had my gun up and was ready to go. We thought that the biggest of the two was the one coming out to the plot first. Turns out, the smaller buck had cut him off and came out before him. I had the smaller buck in the scope and was about to shoot until we realized this wasn’t the one I wanted. I quickly made a change and got this buck in the scope. It then turned away from me and I had no shot. We thought it was about to take off after the other buck and the doe that had already run off. I waited and waited until it finally turned around and I had a clear shot. This was the first deer that I have shot where I knew where it went in and saw it crash. I even tracked it myself (pretending I didn’t know where it fell)! I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I couldn’t have done it without my Dad!
