Lake Seminole Fishing Report – November 2023

Seminole: Level: 1 foot below 77.5. Temp: 73 degrees. Clarity: The Flint River arm is stained, Spring Creek is clear, and the Chattahoochee River arm has a slight stain.

Bass: Guide Paul Tyre with Lake Seminole Fishing Adventures reports, “The bass fishing on Lake Seminole has been excellent with the falling water temperatures as the bass, stripers and hybrids are feeding up for the winter. The big largemouth have been feeding heavily on bream, while the schooling bass are feeding on shad. We have been catching bass on a variety of lures from topwater lures to moving baits. A 6th Sense Catwalk has been generating some explosive strikes. Also, a 6th Sense Provoke jerkbait has been catching numbers of schooling bass.”

Crappie & Linesides: Guide Paul Tyre, “The crappie have been schooling up in 15 to 20 feet of water. November is an excellent month to catch some big crappie as the water temperature continues to cool down. My favorite lures for catching crappie are the ATX Lures Wicked Shad and Baby Shad. They have an extensive line of panfish lures. These baits are offered in a variety of colors, but a couple of my favorite colors are alewife and chartreuse/white. I rig these on a 1/32- to 1/8-oz. jig head, depending on depth and wind conditions. I combine these with a size 10 open-face spinning reel and 4- to 6-lb. monofilament line. When fishing a light bait, the rod, reel and line are important to have the best results. I prefer a Temple Fork Outfitters 6- to 7-foot light-action rod from their Trout Panfish line. The hybrid and striper fishing is excellent in November and December as they feed heavily on shad.”
