Hunt Story

I Decided to hunt Sunday afternoon in between rain showers. Got in my stand at about 4:30 p.m. and settled in. After sitting for about 30 minutes, saw a cowhorn spike come out into my far left shooting lane for several minutes, then he crossed through some thick brush and came out in another shooting lane to the right. Then as the cowhorn moved away out of sight, the 10-point buck stepped into view in the far left shooting lane and began to walk down the lane toward me. When he got about 65 yards away, he turned broadside and began to move to the left into the thick brush. I grunted and he stopped and looked my way, then he put his head down and I shouldered my rifle and took the shot before he took another step. He dropped instantly there in the shooting lane, and after a few minutes I got out of the stand and recovered him.
