Hunt Story

I saw a doe about 7:45 on a foggy morning. I texted my dad to tell him that I was going to shoot her. I decided that I needed to take a deer to fill the freezer, so I pulled my gun up toward the doe. Embarrassingly, my scope was too foggy to see her, so I pulled my gun down to clean it. By the time that I had unfogged my lens, a buck had shown up following her. My dad had told me to shoot a buck if I saw one, so I saw antlers and pulled the trigger. I then texted my dad that I had shot a buck instead. It jumped, took 4 steps, and fell over dead. When my Dad showed up to my stand, he asked what I got. I told him a buck, but I wasn't sure what. I really did not know how good he was. My Dad immediately recognized the buck from trail cameras as the deer he had been targeting for us to get!
