Hunt Story

Before sunrise I climbed a tree on the back side of the property that I had selected to hunt the day prior to the hunt. Not long after sunrise I noticed a buck trotting down the trail to my left. I raised my rifle and found him in scope. At about 75 yards he turned to go into the field behind me. As he cleared the first row of pines, I fired. I never heard him fall or run, so I wasn't sure if it was a direct hit. I waited about 15-20 minutes and climbed down to see if I got him. I had dropped him right where he stood. I was shocked to see that he was the buck that I had several pictures of on my trail camera and was hoping to harvest this season. This is the third consecutive year I have harvested a trophy buck!
