Hunt Story

I caught movement to my right. I looked up and saw the sunlight gleaming on his antlers. The buck was making his way toward the end of my food plot. I raised my rifle and took the safety off. He was walking with a quick pace. I grunted, and the buck just kept going. I took a shot right before he made it back in to the woods. I climbed out of my stand still not knowing if I had even hit him. When I reached the end of my food plot, I saw the ground stained with bright red blood. He was laying in the woods only 20 feet away. Only 7 or 8 seconds passed from when I first saw him until I shot.
