Lake Rabun

Lake Rabun is a twisty 835-acre reservoir with 25 miles of shoreline located in the northeast corner of Georgia in Rabun County. It is the third lake in a six-lake series that follows the original course of the Tallulah River. The series begins with Lake Burton as the northernmost lake, followed by lakes Seed, Rabun, Tallulah Falls, Tugalo and Yonah. These are Georgia Power Co. lakes, built to generate hydroelectric energy. Rabun and these other northeast Georgia mountain lakes offers some fishing opportunities unique to Georgia, where anglers can catch trophy walleye and yellow perch along with traditional species such as bass, crappie and bream.
